A few days later, Miriam and her mommy were shopping at the store. They had already bought all their normal grocery items for the week, but her mom still had a long list.
"Let's see, we still need to buy Christmas gifts for Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Matt and Aunt Stephanie, the mailman, and your teacher, Mrs. Lewis," Mom said as she checked items off her list.
Miriam was confused again. And this time she said something about it.
"Mommy, I thought you said that Christmas is when we celebrate Jesus' birthday."
"Why yes, Miriam, it is," her mom replied as she continued to mark up her list.
