One day, she heard her mom and dad talking about Christmas. They sounded excited! They talked about decorations, and getting together with family and friends. They talked about yummy food. And they talked about presents. Miriam was curious. She wanted to know more about this special holiday.
"Mommy, what's Christmas?" Miriam asked expectantly.
"It's when we celebrate Jesus' birthday," replied her mom.
"I love birthdays!" said Miriam, clapping her hands together.
"I know" said her mom as she smiled knowingly.
"Will it be soon?" Miriam wondered.
"Soon enough," said Miriam's mom. "It is coming on December 25th."
Miriam counted on her fingers. "That's only 7 more sleeps!"
